July 9, 2017–  Moving Art held its end-of-program gallery sharing the art that 9 young working-class artists have been working on, grounded in the experiences of our communities and tackling issues of racial, immigrant, and gender justice. Moving Art members performed spoken word, dance, and led everyone in a collective art project depicting our neighborhoods as a “Hate Free Zone”. They also spoke about the importance of culture and art in our movements, and the work they want to continue to do as cultural workers and organizers. The exhibit is up at IMI-corona until July 14th for the public!
